Flashback:  Konkona Sen Sharma

Career

Konkona Sen Sharma entered Bollywood at an early age. While continuing in her mother, Aparna Sen’s footsteps, Konkona has created a trend in the industry. Whether it is drama or commercial films, Konkona’s undivided attention to the role elevates the character in the films. Starting from “Mr. and Mrs. Iyer”, a film released in 2002, directed by her mother, paved the way for further endeavours. However, this film earned her a National Award in the best actress category. Thereupon, her performance in the film Page 3 was widely appreciated, and the film went on to receive the National Award for Best Feature Film, along with the prestigious Golden Lotus Award.

Adding to her triumphant career, another drama genre film, “Omkara” and “Life in a… Metro” equally did well at the box office and reaped her National Award in the best supporting actress category. We can see that Konkona’s versatility as an actor has evolved over the years. Although she has immersed herself in drama movies, the commercial films Wake Up Sid, Luck By Chance, and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? Helped her reach with the curated audiences.
