What on earth is the God Valley Incident? “Why is everyone shook about a place that doesn’t even exist anymore?” Well sugar, because this one moment in time literally changed the course of the entire pirate world.
It’s a story of secrets, slavery, Celestial Dragons, and a messy battle that involved the GOATs of One Piece then got wiped clean off the face of the map. Suspicious? Honey, you have no idea.
First Things First: What Was God Valley?
God Valley was an island (yes, was) where the elite of the elite… the Celestial Dragons used to hold these sickening and twisted “Hunting games.” And by games, I mean slavery, violence, and bloodsport. They hunted innocent people like animals for “Fun”, treating them like prizes at a devilish carnival.
The kicker? The island has since been erased from history. Not like “Oops, forgot to mention it”… I mean vanished. Like it never existed.

What Sparked the Scandal?
The Celestial Dragons hosted their annual bloodthirsty games on God Valley, and this time they had a batch of enslaved people including Bartholomew Kuma, Emporio Ivankov, and a mysterious girl named Ginny.
- Ginny, being the rebel with a cause, leaked the info about this sick “event” to outsiders.
- Now why’d she do that? Simple: she wanted help. But when help arrived, it came with violence, chaos, and a whole lotta mess.
Enter the Main Players: It’s Gettin’ Crowded on This Island
Three sides pulled up like it was an Avengers finale:
1. The Rocks Pirates
At the center of the chaos was the infamous and possibly unstable Rocks D. Xebec, leading a ruthless pirate crew that included younger versions of Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Kaido.
Yeah baby straw hats, THEM!!!
Full Lineup Included:
- Rocks D. Xebec (Captain)
- Edward Newgate (Whitebeard)
- Charlotte Linlin (Big Mom)
- Kaido
- Shiki the Golden Lion
- Captain John
- Silver Axe
- Ochoku
Motives: Possibly to steal the Devil Fruits, cause chaos, or destroy the Celestial Dragons. No one knows for sure.

2. The Navy + Roger Pirates Alliance
You read that right. Monkey D. Garp, a top Marine, and Gol D. Roger, king of the pirates, teamed up. Enemies turned allies for one day to stop Rocks from blowin’ the island up.
Famous Faces Involved:
- Garp (Marine hero)
- Gol D. Roger (Pirate King)
- Silvers Rayleigh
- Scopper Gaban
Motives: Stop the Rocks Pirates. And maybe protect the Celestial Dragons begrudgingly.
3. The Slaves & Rebels
- Bartholomew Kuma
- Emporio Ivankov
- Ginny (the whistleblower)
Motives: Just trying to live and break free from literal hell. They were just trying to survive, sis.
The Battle That Brought the Heat
So, once the Rocks Pirates stormed in and started tearing stuff up… BOOM! The Navy and Roger’s crew dropped in too. A legendary battle broke out that’s now whispered about like an urban myth. This was the only time the Navy and Roger teamed up and they WON. Eventually, Rocks was taken down, his crew crumbled, and God Valley? Man, it disappeared off the map like it was deleted in a click.
What Happened to the Island?
Girl, nobody knows. Some folks think it was destroyed with an Ancient Weapon (yeah, those exist), others say it was wiped out by the World Government on purpose to cover up their dirty laundry. One thing’s for sure: God Valley is gone, honey, like a Door Closed Forever.
What Came Out of It?
- Kuma got his Paw-Paw Fruit powers and eventually escaped.
- Kaido got his OP Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu dragon fruit from Big Mom.
- Shanks, the red-haired heartthrob, was supposedly discovered in a treasure chest by Roger after the dust settled. (Yeah, seriously.)
- Garp was hailed as a “Hero of the Marines”, even though Roger did half the work.
- The Rocks Pirates disbanded, and many of them became the next generation of top dogs (Yonko, honey).
Character Outcomes: “A legacy-defining moment”
Rocks Pirates:
- Rocks D. Xebec – Killed? Erased from records. Maybe, He was killed in the heat of battle by a joint effort from Garp and Roger.
- Whitebeard – Formed his own crew, became a Yonko
- Big Mom – Started her family empire
- Kaido – Got his Devil Fruit, built the Beast Pirates
- Shiki – Later escaped Impel Down, went rogue
- Others scattered or went underground
Navy & Roger Pirates:
- Garp – Declared “Hero of the Marines”
- Roger – Soon to become Pirate King
Enslaved Characters:
- Kuma – Escaped, joined Revolutionary Army
- Ivankov – Became Queen of Kamabakka Kingdom
- Ginny – Tragically captured again, became victim of the system
So Why Is This Such a Big Freakin’ Deal?
Because this one island:-
- This single event introduced some of the most legendary characters in One Piece.
- Revealed the one time Marines and Pirates worked together.
- Hinted at massive cover-ups by the World Government.
- And Redefined, Changed, shaped the future of the entire One Piece world.

Final Bite: So What’s the Tea?
Why would the government erase an entire island unless they had something real nasty to hide? Who really won that day… Roger, Rocks, or the World Government? Because honey, when islands disappear and the winners don’t speak… you know the devil’s sittin’ in the editing room. (Covering, IMU in the Next part…)
