Lokesh Kanagaraj is on a roll with not one but numerous films directed by him and under his guidance as well. He is not wasting any time in extending his universe of the Substance concept film, after Karthi’s “Kaithi”, Kamal Hassan’s “Vikram”, and Vijay Thalapathi’s “Leo”, the crew has announced their fourth film, “Benz”. Let’s see the details.
The Fourth Story
LCU, popularly called the Loki Cinematic Universe, is a desi inspiration of the Marvel world, but a completely different scenario. This potential 10-film project is based on Drug Substance types, distribution, societal effects, aftermath, and realism. The main theme is dealt with uniquely in every film, with connected characters and mostly standalone plots.
In the title release, we’ve seen Raghava Lawrence in a stylish Chef look that’s going deep to penetrate the drug world and, just like others, eradicate the weeds from society. As for the antagonist, we have another strong contender, not one but twins. The director roped Premam star Nivin Pauly in a dual setup with contrasting characters.
Vibe: The upcoming superhit
After the major success of all three films, the next in line are Benz and Kaithi 2. Many fans appreciate the director for the correct casting choices. Raghava Lawrence, dance master, actor, and philanthropist, is chosen as the protagonist, “Benz,” forged on his bike and helmet, revealed during the title release by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
This film comes under his LCU, but this isn’t his direction. It’s co-written and directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, known for his intricate work in the Remo and Sultan films. His choice of female lead goes to Virupaksha fame Samyuktha Menon to play a critical role. White George Marayan as Napoleon is the sole character who might have appeared in the previous installments of this connected franchise. So we can see him here again.
Benz Vs Walter
It’s war against Benz for Walter. We don’t have Lawrence’s role description. But recently, makers released Nivin Pauly’s cruel, ruthless, and golden acting in dual characters as “Walter,” which is creating major hype for the film. He is the best choice to satirize Lawrence’s undisclosed character. Also, all villains in LCU have animal tattoos. Suriya of Vikram film has a Scorpio as Rolex, this time Nivin as brothers as twin fish tattoo and body full of gold, giving an intricate and perfect syndicate look. This might be their logo of the infamous drug syndicate.
Production and Music
The shooting started this May with high-action octane sequences, and streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix. As for the music director, they have joined hands with a young Tamil sensation and star of solo songs, “Sai Abhyankar”. This is the debut project and his golden entry into the world of Commercial filmmaking. The pre-teaser and Nivin Paul’s character intro have very deep, enjoyable backdrops, raising expectations.

When is the Release?
The OTT rights have already been acquired, and for release, the exact date hasn’t been revealed, but fans are expected to release late months of 2025, maybe a November or December release, or else it will come up in January 2026.
