Up until then we saw military or RAW services tackling physical terrorism, but this JioHotstar series undercovers different levels of crimes. Yes! Special Ops is a high cyber-terrorism story, much needed for everyone with a bank account and a phone. Because today, India runs on fast-paced Digital payments and UPI scanners that may be compromised. Well, the superhit show is renewed for Season 2. Let’s see all the details here.

The Plot

The story picks up, connecting the season one climax, this time dealing with a great Risk-factor AI-driven digital terrorist group that is misplacing and stealing the country’s UPI or Unified Payments Interface directly from the infrastructure. As day by day the monetary cases increase, RAW agent Himmat Singh is duly assigned and prohibited from his unofficial retirement. Thus, chooses his trusted team from the prequel, along with some recruits and inclusive Government officials to close the national threat.

As for villains, this high-octane, risky espionage is going international with heavy action sequences and a core message on data attacks and vulnerabilities of modernisation.

Kay Kay Menon is back in his iconic role as Senior RAW officer and the central brain of the series. To understand his character, intelligence, and rapport with his team, which has operatives, cybersecurity specialists, field agents, hackers, & many skilled members. To know who they are and how they contribute, to plot, seriously consider seeing part 1.

As for the entire cast list, see the distinct actors here.

  3. Abbas Sheikh – Vinay Pathak
  4. Juhi Kahsyap – Saiyami Kher
  5. Ruhani Syed – Meher Vij

Connections and Strengths

Indeed, Kay Kay Menon is a showstopper to play crucial and commendable roles like in Ghazi or here. Most viewers loved his unwavering intelligence, balanced by dry humour, making him a certain personality. Likewise, the grand success of season 1 has called for high production value, as in International shoots and fight sequences.

Cyber warfare is a good theme to work on, especially after covering the slow pacing of Special Ops 1.5 prequel. Likewise, the trailer looks interesting and might avoid criticism as they delve deep into the main supporting characters as well. But too much honesty or technical jargon might disturb the story flow, which we can only decide after release.

Direction and Visuals

Neeraj Pandey as a director means it’s a top action spy thriller. All his glory projects like Akshay Kumar’s Baby, Khakee series, franchise, Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, all released very recently, did good numbers. So does increasing the expectations for Special Ops. The trailer promises thrilling visuals, indicating an intense, tough-on-fight between faceless terrorists to the Government corruption and victims.
