In this world, love has no language, it is one of the most beautiful feelings that can be shared among individuals or animals unconditionally. When this love involves two individuals with contrasting backgrounds, it becomes a story of overcoming differences. And now it’s a couple’s responsibility to sustain the love by confronting their fears. To narrate this love story to viewers in detail, the director Engin Erden shaped the film Chasing the Wind or Rüzgara Bırak in Turkish.
Unbeknownst to Each Other
Asli Mansoy, CEO of the leading hotel development project, decides to expand their business operations by acquiring another property, but faces unexpected challenges when she must convince Ege Yazıcı, the reluctant heir to the land, to approve the deal. Moreover, Ege is also a board member of the company. Unbeknownst to one another, Ege and Asli meet at a restaurant, where Ege disguises himself as a chef. Thereupon, they will build a casual relationship that challenges their initial assumptions and opens new possibilities.
Sizzling Chemistry
Like every other couple, their love story sizzles at first and later blossoms into a deepened relationship. On their adventurous and fun-filled journey, they both get to know one another by going for a laid-back surfing and dining out together, allowing their bond to grow beyond just business matters. As they grow more comfortable, Asli questions why he disguised himself at the restaurant when they first met, tries to uncover the real reason behind his disapproval of the property; his reply flabbergasts Asli.
Separation
Asli and Ege’s relationship go back and forth as the film continues. But one sensitive information that Asli hides from Ege leads to a break-up. However, Ege uncovers financial misconduct within the company, which he exposes, leading to the dismissal of corrupt board members.

Rich Texture
The director has captured the nuances of corporate elements exceptionally well. Another highlighting element in the Chasing the Wind movie is the picturesque locations of Istanbul and İzmir, which provide a rich texture to the cinematic lens. The actors, Hande Erçel as Asli Mansoy and Barış Arduç as Ege Yazici, captivate the audience through their charismatic personas and character-driven performances. Meanwhile, other actors’ small time screen presence and the sublime, melodious background track enhance the plot.
