Star-crossed lovers who faced the great tragedy of death and remained as an epitome of love, Romeo and Juliet. The Shakespeare story is reimagined with bold and modern pop music. The writer & director of the upcoming epic musical tale, Timothy Scott Bogart, has entitled it “Juliet & Romeo.” They dropped the official trailer now, and let’s see what to anticipate from this giant project.
The plot
The storyline is familiar to almost every novel lover. The historical story, set in 13th-century Italy, follows the royal teens Romeo Montague & Juliet Capulet. They fell in love the moment their eyes met at the carnival. As the trailer goes, a series of beautiful tunes and songs support the traditional verse of their secret love in the empire.
However, their roots come from rival families, and love is not an option to live with but impossible to break. They secretly marry each other with the help of Friar Laurence. Soon, Romeo is banished from Verona, and Juliet takes pills pretending to be dead and sends a message to rescue her. But it doesn’t reach him, and he dies at her fake funeral. Seeing Romeo, Juliet stabs herself with his dagger. Their love ends with great tragedy.
