Slasher Group with the Twist: The series utilises vintage slasher compounds (guests stranded, murders) but adds the elements of the motel’s past and a dormant follower killer.

The Weakness

Review and conclusion

This series offers a miscellany. While it provides a fun slasher escapade with conspiracy twists and gruesome murder, it also suffers from facing issues and recurring patterns that can lead to staleness. The series excels in character design, particularly through nostalgia that delves into their true crime preoccupation, but the initial focus on well-structured characters can be undercut by their early elimination. Ultimately, “Hell Motel” is a remarkable, gory horror series that may oscillate  with fans of the genre, but it struggles to fully realize its capabilities.
