Netflix released the Khakee Bengal Chapter series on 20 March 2025. It is a sequel to the Khakee Bihar Chapter Series, which was released on 22 November 2025. After the Khakee series release, many applauded it for its raw storyline and intense plot. While both stories suggest the plot of a cop chasing goons and solving crimes in the community, they still differ in storyline. So, to understand this further, let us look at the difference between these two.

Khakee Bihar Chapter

Directed by Bhav Dhulia, this series was based on real-life incidents. It revolves around the story of a distinctive police officer who brings justice to society by nabbing and bringing down the Ashok Mahto gang, who were creating havoc in the districts of Sheikhpura, Nalanda, and Patna. IPS officer Amit Lodha had written a book, Bihar Diaries, which led to the creation of this Netflix series, consisting of 7 episodes.

Karan Tacker portrays Amit Lodha, an IPS officer, and other notable important actors include Avinash Tiwary, Abhimanyu Singh, and Nikita Dutta. After its initial release, the Khakee Bihar Chapter gained wide attention for its screenplay, direction, and character development. Karan Tacker’s performance as Amit Lodha was unmatchable. It was like paying tribute to the IPS Officer for his dedicated service in the Police Department.

All the other actors have done justice to their characters. It was rated 8.1/10 on IMDb. People were eagerly waiting for its new series and storyline, but now that the waiting time has passed. Because Netflix released Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, which adds on to the success of the Bihar Chapter.

Khakee Bengal Chapter

Though the prequel was inspired by real-life stories, its sequel, Khakee Bengal, is a purely fictional story. It highlights the Kolkata-based don and his gang members involved in disturbing the peace and harmony in Bengal. Since the don is close to the ruling party, no action can be taken against him. So to bring him and his gang down, the opposition party appoints a fearless police officer. But here the story has a twist, the death of a police officer leads to the development of new characters, whose story remains fascinating as the story moves ahead.

This series is directed by Debatma Mondal and Tushar Kanti Ray and created by Neeraj Pandey. Moreover, it stars an ensemble cast of Parambrata Chatterjee as a leading and dynamic police officer and Chitrangada Singh as a leading politician; other actors include Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, and Saswata Chatterjee. Every actor has delivered a top-notch performance. Similar to the previous, this series also has 7 episodes and has a 7.6/10 IMDb rating.

These films may vary in star cast or storyline, but the Khakee series has left a remarkable impression on the audience.
