Technology is always considered a potential threat to humans, especially robots replacing humans. Portraying the nuances of the element, directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo crafted the American science fiction action-adventure film, “ The Electric State”, featuring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt in the lead roles. Other actors who have equally contributed to this film are Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Giancarlo Esposito and Stanley Tucci.
Technology, a powerful tool?
The plot revolves around a girl named Michelle, played by Millie Bobby Brown, embarking on a journey in war-hit America to find her missing brother, with the help of a robot, Cosmo, who is protective of her and accompanies her everywhere. In the hope of finding her brother, she encounters Keats, played by Chris Pratt, who also helps her in the mission.
Virtual reality technology
During the journey, the devastated towns, cities, dead robots, and the effect of high-tech civilisation bring Michelle emotionally down. As the film continues, she uncovers her brother’s real job. She discovers that her brother was creating a new innovative technology that could change everything—a powerful virtual reality technology that can control people’s minds.
Visually Appealing
This film leaves the audience in awe, inspired by its visually appealing cinematography, immersive world-building, and emotionally resonant storytelling. However, a novel in 2018 by Simon StĂĄlenhag inspired Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely in creating this grandeur that blends art, emotion, and futuristic imagination.

Character Improvements
The film stumbles in its storytelling. Moreover, the characters played by talented actors remain underdeveloped, and a few plots may confuse the viewers and ultimately fail to resonate with the audience.
Unique thought
Unlike other robot-centric films, where robots dominate and humans are losing the battle, The Electric State offers a fresh perspective, set in an alternate reality where the robots have already been defeated.
With a theme of family, loss, and hope, The Electric State offers impressive visuals and a compelling score. Collaboration between Chris Patt and Millie Bobby Brown may bring joy to their fans.
