Kim Woodburn, the upbeat British cleaner who scared germs and grime away on Channel 4’s How Clean Is Your House?, has passed at 83. Her team told followers on June 17, 2025, that she died quietly at home in Cheshire after a brief illness.

Cause of death

While her representatives called it a short illness, they have not explained further, begging for space as the family mourns. In her last weeks, Kim warned fans she would vanish from screens and social media to rest, saying in March 2025, No more videos for now, my loves, I need to get better!

Health struggles

Although the underlying sickness remains private, Woodburn faced health battles long before this moment. Born with near-blindness in one eye and untreated strabismus in the other, she fought blurry vision yet never stopped dazzling audiences.

In early 2025, she had surgery hoping to clear her vision but quietly stepped away from the public eye afterward and never came back to TV. Kim had lived with alopecia for more than forty years and learned in her fifties that her thyroid was underactive, leaving her drained and facing other challenges.

Legacy

Kim Woodburn first shot to fame as the tough, no-nonsense co-host of How Clean Is Your House?, her quick one-liners and exacting standards turning her into a nation-wide fixture. She later stormed the Celebrity Big Brother and Im a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! sets, where her unfiltered honesty and brassy spirit left lasting impressions. Kim is survived by her husband, Peter, who called her his soulmate and has been visibly crushed by her passing.

Woodburn’s family and agents have asked for space to grieve, so details of her illness and final days have not yet emerged. Kim Woodburn now stands remembered as a reality TV pioneer and a beacon of grit, a truth beloved by fans and co-workers alike.
