Tom Cruise is one of the producers for this film series. He wanted to collaborate with different directors to engage the audience with spy-action genre movies. The main plot revolves around the IMF (Impossible Mission Force) solving crimes and handling missions by leveraging advanced technologies. Tom Cruise, as Ethan Hunt—an IMF agent—is assigned different high-stakes tasks that require skill and intelligence.
With the development of new films, storytelling also evolved, reflecting emerging trends in society. Throughout the series, Tom Cruise’s character remains constant. Apart from the plot, the original theme song has also gained widespread popularity.
Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One
Adding to this latest adventure, Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One was released on July 12, 2023. Its plot specifically focused on AI in a central role, portraying how artificial intelligence can pose a threat to humanity. Agent Hunt and his team are on a high-octane mission to find a deadly AI weapon called “The Entity” before it ends up in the wrong hands. This difficult artificial intelligence has invaded the world’s digital networks, making it invincible and unmanageable.
As governments and criminal syndicates compete to dominate it, Ethan has to stop a global disaster. He’s hunted by lethal enemies, such as Gabriel, a character from his past who has a personal vendetta against Hunt.
All these make Ethan explore an adventurous journey around the world —through the Arabian Desert to Rome, Venice, and the Austrian Alps—as he confronts betrayal, dilemmas, and impossible decisions. Finally, Ethan and his team are on the verge of giving up everything, as they question how much power humans have over technology. Nevertheless, when Hunt retrieves the key, his discovery paves the path to the larger complex missions.
As he delves deeper into the matter, to save the world from AI and to uncover the hidden agenda of the entity, the plot gets fascinating. Challenges, romance, and action sequences are expected from Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part Two. This film marks the eighth and final installment of the series and is expected to be released on 23 May 2025.
