Pierce Brosnan’s name brings back a nostalgic feeling of watching James Bond movies—GoldenEye, The World is Not Enough, Tomorrow Never Dies, and more. However, his stardom is not limited to the big screen alone. His frequent appearance in the web series gains widespread attention as well. Let us look at the list of series that he has done.

  • Remington Steele, a detective series, aired on NBC from 1982 to 1987.
  • The Son, a western drama series, streamed on Amazon from 2017 to 2018.
  • Greatest Heists with Pierce Brosnan, a documentary, streamed on Amazon in 2023.

Adding to this list, MobLand, a crime drama TV series directed by Ronan Bennett, streamed on Jio Hotstar on March 30, 2025, with Pierce Brosnan in the lead role and Helen Mirren as a leading lady. Together, they did a movie, The Long Good Friday, in 1980, and later reunited after 43 years for “The Thursday Murders Club,” which will be released on Netflix in 2025. MobLand acts as their third collaboration.

Backstory

The director planned to create MobLand as a prequel to the “Ray Donovan” series. But further development in the story led to “MobLand” as a standalone series.

What is MobLand

It is a fictional series set against the backdrop of London. Showcases a constant fight between two mob families, the Irish Harrigans and the Cockney Stevensons, to rule the underworld. Pierce Brosnan as Conrad Harrigan, Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan, and Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, and other notable actors include Paddy Considine, Daniel Betts, and Mandeep Dhillon. With its tremendous star cast, it is slowly gaining momentum to make an impact on viewers. However, within its first week, the series got an 8.3/10 IMDb rating and gained worldwide attention. The storyline intensifies as new characters enter the plot, adding a new dimension to the episodes.

Fixer

Harry Da Souza acts as a fixer to the Irish Harrigans, his work is to protect the Harrigans’ empire from dangers and to follow the order, acting accordingly amidst escalating pressure. He later discovers a flaw in the empire that leads to further complications in the story and intensifies the conflicts. With its unique and extraordinary star cast, MobLand is poised to maintain its potential on the platform.
