Twisted Metal ist eine Videospiel-Adaption, die bei Amazon Prime Video und in den USA bei Peacock läuft. Gerade ist in Deutschland die zweite Staffel der Live-Action-Serie mit Marvel-Star Anthony Mackie in der Hauptrolle an den Start gegangen. Die erste Season der rasanten filmischen Umsetzung des Demolition-Derbys für Gamer kam auch in Deutschland ziemlich gut, und auch die zweite Season steht der Pilotstaffel in nichts nach. Daher sei die Frage erlaubt: Wann kommt Twisted Metal Staffel 3 auf Amazon Prime Video?

Leider gibt es noch keine Antwort auf die Frage, ob und wann Twisted Metal Staffel 2 bei Amazon Prime Video kommt. Das liegt nicht unbedingt daran, dass die Serie nicht genug Fans findet, denn die hat sie. Allerdings adaptiert die Serie die Videospielreihe und die hat bisher eben nur zwei Staffeln beziehungsweise Teile. Leider ist auch nicht bekannt, ob es da eine Fortsetzung geben wird. Offiziell hat Sony den Tite Twisted Metal eingestellt. Nun muss da ja nicht heißen, dass man nicht dennoch die Serie in freier Interpretation fortsetzen kann. Allerdings gibt es dafür bisher keine Hinweise. Sobald wir etwas Neues erfahren, berichten wir euch darüber. Darum geht es in der Serie Twisted Metal Wie schon erwähnt, ist die Serie Twisted Metal eine Adaption des gleichnamigen Videospiels, dessen Geschichte schon im Jahr 1995 begann. Das Game kombiniert Rennspiel und Third-Person-Shooter miteinander. Genau diese Elemente nimmt natürlich auch die Serie auf. Die Zuschauenden werden in ein postapokalyptisches Amerika mitgenommen, in dem Städte eigentlich nur noch massivverbarrikadierte Festungen statt eines Ortes der Offenheit und Freiheit sind. Der Grund dafür ist ein extremer Cyber-Angriff, der die Welt, oder eben Amerika, ins Chaos gestürzt hat. Im Zentrum des Geschehens steht John Doe, gespielt von dem als Captain America bekannten Darsteller Anthony Mackie. Der fungiert als Milchmann, als ein Mann, der ein Paket zustellen soll. Dafür muss er durch das Ödland außerhalb der Städte, und hier warten allerlei Gefahren, Plünderer, schräge Gestalten und fiese Gegner. Staffel 1 bereitete mit ersten Verfolgungsjagden und völlig verdrehtem Humor auf die nun aktuelle Staffel vor. Jetzt nämlich geht es in die Hauptphase, in den Kern der Videospielvorlage. Es geht für John Doe und Quiet in das tödliche Turnier namens Twisted Metal, Wer wird sich in dem absurden Demolition-Rennen behaupten? Wird John Doe nicht nur die Gegner besiegen, sondern auch seine eigenen persönlichen Dämonen? Außerdem wird es in Twisted Metal Staffel 2 auch noch persönlich, denn John trifft auf seine Schwester Dollface….
