The White Lotus ist eine ganz besondere Serie, denn sie verbindet gesellschaftskritische Satire mit unterhaltsamer Fiktion. Jetzt steht schon die dritte Staffel in den Startlöchern. Ein erster Teaser macht Lust auf die neuen Folgen, die ab dem 17. Februar bei HBO und hierzulande bei Sky und WOW zu sehen sind. Nach der ersten Episode am 17. Februar steht wöchentlich montags um 20:15 Uhr eine neue Folge bei Sky Atlantic bereit. In der dritten Staffel von The White Lotus geht es diese Mal nach Thailand. In einem exklusiven Resort treffen Erholungssuchende ein, die herzlichst von den Angestellten empfangen werden. Nun geht es in eine turbulente Woche voller Machenschaften und Erlebnisse von Gästen und Angestellten, die hier manchmal die gesuchte Erholung, aber viel zu oft ganz andere Dinge im Leben finden. Auf eine witzige Art werden hier Charaktere, gesellschaftliche Vorurteile und Klischees auf die Schippe genommen. Aber irgendwie regt die humorvolle Interpretation eben doch zum Nachdenken an, denn in jeder Satire steckt immer auch ein großer Funken Wahrheit. Die Serie The White Lotus glänzt neben der wirklich guten Umsetzung eines interessanten Themas auch mit einem hervorragendem Cast. In der neuen Season sind unter anderem Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Sarah Catherine Hook, Walton Goggins, Sam Nivola, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong und Aimee Lou Wood mit an Bord. Die erste Staffel wurde im Jahr 2021 für 20 Emmys in 13 Kategorien nominiert und räumte zehn der Preise ab. Auch die zweite Staffel durfte sich über Emmy-Nominierungen freuen.
