Today film industry is focused on intricate & connected storytelling, with films & series divided into parts. This isn’t a new concept, but most actors, directors even productions are interested in such grand projects of greater profits. Just like Maddock’s supernatural Universe, we have YRF’s Spy world. Yes! After the success of Pathan and Tiger 3, War 2 of Hrithik Roshan is coming with an ensemble cast. Let’s get into more details.
Bollywood Star Vs Tollywood Star
The Yash Raj Films spy universe consists of RAW agents, experienced militants, Spies, Detectives, etc, who went rogue and, after years, are re-involved in the country’s most dangerous missions. In War 1, we have a powerful yet dreamy Duo, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, uncovering the lies, betrayals, and politics of the government, that can go lengths to cut the loose ties, even its most patriotic soldiers.
Promising a bigger scale, the War II film poster is creating full buzz, as Hrithik pairs with the Academy’s Actors Branch member, Telugu star Shri. Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, aka NTR Jr, as the antagonist, making his Bollywood debut. Celebrating the global success of the RRR film, the actor has mentioned manifesting and finally starring in this spy film.
Cast and Connections
Salman Khan is the OG detective in this spy film series, boasting grand premieres of his three films “Ek Tha Tiger”, “Tiger Zinda Hai,” and “Tiger 3.” Along with a big Cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathan”. So he is potentially a connected character in all films and might make an entry in War II as well. Also, other characters like Deepika Padukone as Rubani, Katrina Kaif as Zoya Humani, and Shah Rukh Khan as Pathan may make strong cameos to enhance the plot value and reference to the grand finale, like in Avengers.

Pre-Concieved Notion
The director of War I, Siddarth Anand, did a great job in establishing the groundwork. Now, director Ayan Mukherji, known for Bhramhastra, is helming. However, we should look out for whether the film gives good space for both actors or not. Because there is this notion, and even today, prominent south Indians hired into the Bollywood films are just awry and quite undesirable characters, we have seen the latest example of Prithviraj Sukumaran in Bade Miyan Choti Miyan.
Big Teaser and Release
Distributed under YRF Productions, the film has just dropped a power-packed teaser on the occasion of NTR’s Birthday. Even though it’s around two minutes, the grenade range fights, grand visuals, and crossover between both actors are raising the temperature. The hand combat amidst a small glimpse of Kiara Advani with a voiceover of NTR looks very promising.
Especially the last few seconds are highlight scenes. Further, gives the global release on India’s Independence Day, August 14th. This time, the film looks worth the wait.
