Sisters’ relationships are defined by their behaviour, respect, love, understanding, and communication—all of which contribute to a bond that grows stronger with time. Through shared memories, mutual support, and the ability to stand by each other in both joy and hardship, sisters become not just family but lifelong friends. One might often find it difficult to share thoughts and feelings with parents or friends, but sisters as siblings render their shoulder as a support.
You can share your feelings with them openly, because there won’t be any judgment or sarcasm involved. Conversing about each other’s well-being, shopping together for new occasions, exploring new places and enjoying culinary delights, or discussing about partners (significant others); these conversations with siblings provide a sense of security and build one’s confidence.
Having a sister’s relationship as the core plot, the director Park Shin-woo, who rose to fame from previous notable works– Don’t Dare to Dream, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, and Lovestruck in the City–crafted this cool and fresh plot: Our Unwritten Seoul. This South Korean series ranks among the family and love genres. After its release on May 24, 2025, it managed to reach the top spot nationally and internationally.
Two Faces of the Same Coin
Yoo Mi-ji and Yoo Mi-rae are twin sisters who have supported each other since childhood. Their resemblance at times even confuses their mother. Considering this as an advantage, both sisters would also swap their work. But as they grew older, their fate had different plans. Yoo Mi-ji is academically weak, yet her interest in track running and other activities led her to earn trophies and medals. But after an accident, she quit her passion for running and later chose to work odd jobs. Despite having a weak immune system, Yoo Mi-rae, the older sister, manages to land a corporate job at a prestigious company in Seoul.
The Switch
Both sisters’ unconditional love for each other is a quiet strength–unspoken, yet deeply felt–guiding them through life’s darkest moments with unwavering support. Their bond deepens when Yu Mi-rae, overwhelmed by workplace harassment, spirals into suicidal thoughts and ends up hurting herself. This incident strikes a fear in Yoo Mi-ji’s mind, eventually leading her to step in as Yu Mi-rae in office. Meanwhile, Yu Mi-rae returns to her hometown to look after their grandmother. And now, Yoo Mi-ji navigates her personal life while enduring the ordeal in a toxic atmosphere, and Yu Mi-rae explores serenity in her life.

Park achieved fame after the release of Scandal Makers, a comedy film in which she starred opposite Cha Tae-hyun. Apart from her, the series includes an ensemble cast, each bringing their own unique aura to the screen.
Our Unwritten Soul is a beautiful story that reflects the sisterly bond as both sisters discover their strengths and weaknesses through different transformative experiences. The story emphasises introspection and the significance of empathy in life.
