Peacock regularly gives a massive hit of the original series, which offers more choices for fans to enjoy when TV time rolls around. From the sharp series The Day of the Jackal to season 2 of the Natasha Lyonne detective show, you probably haven’t explored the best shows of 2024, which are highly-rated options on the list. If you’re poking around Peacock for something to watch, here are some standard shows to watch out for Peacock. It costs $8 per month or $80 per year for the ad support. No one wants to miss this type of series, which gives you thrill, action, drama, and suspense. Here is a collection of these shows.
1. The Traitors UK (Reality)

The Storyline
Starting with the fabulously over-the-top host Alan Cumming and the gorgeous backdrop of a real scottish castle, we are quickly introduced to a group of past reality show alumni and a handful of “regular” people all vying for some, if not all, of the $250,000 grand prize. The only hitch is, from the jump, 3 of the twenty-something gold diggers are tapped as “Traitors” in secret and must stay hidden until the end to grab the dough. If none of the 3 make it, the “Faithfulls” get the cash to split among the remaining group.
The Best Part
The challenges are original and clever, but the finger-pointing and back-stabbing are not, which is why we watch reality TV in the first place. Only this time, it seems more like a movie and less like the usual reality TV fare. The whole show is moody and dark with more candlelight than St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Christmas Eve, and Alan keeps things moving with a devilish grin and gorgeous suits.
The Characters
Alan Cumming was his vampy well dressed, flirtatious, incredible actor self. He is a prop, like a well-placed window dressing, that in real reality is completely cut off from the rest of the crew.
IMDb Rating – 7.7/10
2. Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist (Action)

The Storyline
Gordon Williams (Chicken Man) attempts to hustle his way to the top by arranging a party for an Atlantan mobster after the historic fight of Muhammad Ali, after he gets his license reinstated. However, a robbery at that party leaves the thieves in the wind and Williams on the run from the mob. Forced to turn to a cop with a history with Williams, the Chicken Man attempts to find the actual crooks and the one who planned the heist in the first place, or else he might not make it to the next life.
The Best Part
The storyline continuously answers questions while posing new ones, keeping me fully engaged in every episode. Each character is well-rounded with their own back story and real-life moments. This series is good & entertaining, but mostly it’s gorgeous to watch!! From the bell-bottoms to the Mustang cars, it’s a real treat.
The Characters
Lots of fresh faces who are doing a great job & the veteran actors ( Sam Jackson, Terrance Howard, Don Cheadle)did not disappoint. Ron Rico Lee as the Senator is very entertaining.
IMDb Rating – 7.3/10
3. Ted (Comedy)

The Storyline
From the very first episode, “Ted” manages to strike the perfect balance between uproarious laughter and genuine heart. What truly sets “Ted” apart is its ability to deliver more than just laughs. The show beautifully explores the complexities of friendship, loyalty, and the importance of staying true to oneself.
The Best Part
The jokes and humour dialogues were perfectly timed and not overloaded and desperate. It also doesn’t solely focus on the protagonists but revolves around the other supporting members and centralises each one for one episode. The voice acting is another standout aspect of “Ted.” Seth MacFarlane, reprising his role as the voice of Ted, delivers his lines with impeccable timing, capturing the essence of the character’s charm.
The Characters
The actor playing a young John did a perfect job capturing the character. Seth’s voice acting is once again a highlight. Seth MacFarlane has once again proven that he’s a master of his craft, and “Ted” stands as a testament to his ability to create animated magic that resonates with audiences on multiple levels.
IMDb Rating – 7.9/10
4. Teacup (Horror Fiction)

The Storyline
For starters, the show is basically about aliens living among us. Sort of an alien invasion body snatching show. However, the aliens have unexplained agendas and are apparently good or bad. It’s even got a glowing tree in it and people drinking paint. Then, a group of people is on a road at the start of a post-apocalyptic event. And we know how The Walking Dead dragged on forever. Country roads and a lot of slow walking.
The Best Part
Teacup shows a disparate group of people forced to band together in the face of an unknown, deadly threat. “Teacup” goes beyond the tried and tested paths and explores a bit of genre-bending with horror, mystery and drama. Overall, TeaCup seems to be more about filling time and telling a captivating story. If you’re looking for substance and originality, you should watch it.
The Characters
Chaske Spencer, whose acting is always a cut above, even when the script is not that good. Maggie playing Serena on The Handmaid’s Tale was very intense.
IMDb Rating – 6.3/10

5. The Tattooist of Auschwitz (Drama)

The Storyline
This story is meant to represent these elements, but with an overarching theme of hope via the love story between Lali & Gita. The show does touch on horrible things at the camp, but doesn’t delve into them and focuses on the environment and some of the conditions. Anyone familiar with the history of this camp already knows the brutality and the medical procedures of the lunatic doing the most grotesque experiments and the torture of the people for the entertainment of the soldiers.
The Best Part
This extraordinary series brought home the realities of the atrocities committed there to another level. The Tattooist of Auschwitz had a fantastic cast and crew to make this series possible viewers to learn what it was like to be at a concentration camp. Perhaps if those students who have been protesting are required to watch this film, they will have a better understanding of what the Jewish people have gone through. They would see what hate brings about and the long-term damage it does.
The Characters
Lali Sokolov, with Heather Morris, we can find out how Lali, as a young man, became the main tattooist of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp and how he met Gita, his future wife. They all did an outstanding performance, Old and young Lali, who were played by Jonah Hauer-King and Harvey Keitel, Gita by Anna Prochniak, Stefan Baretski by Jonas Nay, Heather Morris by Melanie Lynskey and everyone who played their part so well.
IMDb Rating – 8/10
