3. Ahalya (2015)

Originating from Bengal’s mythological tales, Ahalya tells the gripping story of a young police officer. She visits an artist’s home in the process of investigating a missing case, and slowly uncovers mysterious events surrounding his wife, Ahalya. Sujoy Ghosh’s choice of narrating the story with Radhika Apte as the main lead is a people pleaser. The plot twists keep us on the edge of our seats till the end. So, when are you watching?
4. Kriti (2016)

Starring versatile actor Manoj Bajpayee as Sapan, a psychological patient who visits his doctor, Kalpana that he is in love. He urges that Kriti is real, and as the doctor becomes aware of his claims, she starts questioning the lover’s existence, which reveals layers of manipulation and hallucinations he suffers from mental illness. The haunting story is a top-notch play of words and cinematography, as the climax completely flips the head.

5. Chutney (2016)

Another Royal Stag Short film not to miss is Tisca Chopra’s Award-Winning “Chutney”. This is a story of a housewife’s struggle and a warning about husbands’ infidelity. She invites a young woman into her kitchen and starts telling an incident that slowly gets darker, spicier, and sinister while not changing the gentle tone. We can understand her subtle yet strong revenge against their deeds. The climax is very good, so do watch this.
