Julia Louis-Dreyfus, we all know her from Seinfeld, an American comedy sitcom, where she donned the hat of Elaine Benes, a writer. Throughout her professional career, Julia has stepped into various roles that have paved the way for success. Apart from sitcoms, she has contributed to films like Tuesday, You Hurt My Feelings, Downhill, and rendered her voice to movies such as A Bug’s Life, Planes, and more. On April 22, 2012, Julia’s one of the best comedy genre TV series, underlying political satire, Veep, aired, where she plays the role of Vice President (Veep). Upon release, it gained widespread attention for its subtle comedy, writing, direction, and performance by actors. This series’s showrunners, Armando Iannucci and David Mandel, led the show during different seasons, each shaping its tone and narrative style in unique ways. Dysfunctional Political Family

The series revolves around Selina Meyer, who serves as vice president and later becomes president of the United States as the seasons progress. She is assisted by her personal secretary, Sue Wilson (played by Sufe Bradshaw) and her personal aide, Gary Walsh (played by Tony Hale). Meyer’s brilliance and patience are constantly tested as she navigates the chaos of Washington politics, deals with her incompetent staff, and contends with political challengers who often outmaneuver her. The series primarily sheds light on Meyer, where she must confront her past while handling her troubled relationships and political life.

The series highlights Meyer’s character and her leadership qualities, thus providing a new dimension to the political drama.
