This time, Venom is about true friendship, violence, laughter, & lots of sorrow. Yes! Sadly for fans of this fantastic Duo, Eddie Brock and Venom are coming to an end in “The Last Dance” film. It’s hard to see Tom Hardy no longer in his phenomenal Villain-to-Hero Marvel character, “Venom”, at least on planet Earth. Let’s discuss more details below.
The Plot
At the opening, we see the symbiotes’ homeland planet, the Klyntar, filled with malevolent & enormous creatures imprisoned under the ancient God of darkness and Void, “Knull”. He gives a brief story of how his offspring symbiotes have locked him in prison & instructs his animal army to retrieve the Codex from Earth at any cost. While Venom and Eddie are fugitives who are attacked by those creatures, they are taken to America’s best-kept state-of-the-art science lab, which stores all types of symbiotes.
Understanding that Codex will unlock a greater danger to Mankind, Venom merges with the Xenophages and sacrifices his existence by plunging into acid rain.
The Father of Symboites: Knull
The film starts with eerie scenes of introducing a primordial God and ultimate symbiote villain, “I am Knull”, “God of the Void”, & “Slicer of Worlds”. He said to wield an “All-Black Necrosword”. Surprisingly, this Weapon appears in Thor: Love and Thunder, depicting more scope for Knull as the antagonist to other Marvel characters. Originally, he should have fought Spider-Man or the symbiotes, but he had potential future confrontations.
Crafting Characters
As usual, Tom Hardy’s performance as Journalist “Eddie Brock” is top notch. Likewise, the VFX became quite better, like Dark Knull’s World, Venom’s Dance, and the full climax scenes are a treat for Marvel Fans. Further, the film does introduce protagonist Knull as a greater threat. However post-end credits should reveal more details to keep the hook intact. Many fans waited for those scenes to reveal something dangerous.
In some places, the pacing was off, and many characters were underused. However, the most impactful scene for me is Venom’s melting acne in acid before Eddie’s eyes. It’s very painful for fans to see him perish while protecting the planet and the Codex.

Camerawork and stunts
Do you know that as much CGI is required for creating a portrayal of Venom, Tom Hardy has challenging stunts to perform. The camerawork and editing of the film are good, but can be better as they rushedly end the post-credit scenes in 2 seconds. Moreover, the Venom: The last dance is not upto mark as the first film, but does decent engagement of audience and you will enjoy this as much as you enjoy other Marvel films.
Post-end Credits and Future
The film ends with the tear-jerking song “Memories” by Maroon 5 while Eddie oversees the “Statue of Liberty”, dedicated to the iconic scenes of the Venom Trilogy. He gets an exemption from all crimes, but what’s his future without his other half? At the very, very end, only Marvel fans know there are post-credit scenes indicating the connection. In this, a new fragment gets connected, which shows a possibility of a return to the MCU. Streaming Platforms: Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Zee5
