The late actor Paul Walker is still in the minds of people. No one can forget his sparkling blue eyes and a captivating smile. His role in the Fast and Furious franchise as Brian O’Conner garnered widespread recognition. His demise has left a void that no one can replace his role in film or in people’s hearts. Paul died in 2013 in a car crash. During that time, Paul was still working on Fast & Furious 7, and most of his shooting parts were yet to be completed. Later, with the help of his brothers Cody and Caleb, stand-ins, and technology, the shooting was finished and released in 2015. To pay a last homage, the song “See You Again” was included, featuring Charlie Puth.

The Team

Paul always maintained a good relationship with his co-stars, especially with the Fast and Furious team. Paul’s closest friend was Vin Diesel, a fellow co-star from the Fast and Furious franchise. He is in fact the godfather of Paul’s daughter, Meadow Rain Walker. While discussing with Universal Studios, Vin Diesel has put forth three conditions to the studio. So what is that condition?

Is Paul Returning?

Recently, at a car expo event in Pomona, California, Vin was accompanied by Paul’s brothers Cody and Caleb, and a fellow co-star, Tyrese Gibson. During that event, Vin revealed the conversations that had happened with the studio earlier. Primarily, the studio asked Vin, Could we schedule the final Fast and Furious film for April 2027? He put before the studio the three conditions for their question. “The first is to bring the franchise back to L.A., “the second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing”, and the third was “reuniting Dom and Brian O’Conner”. This news brought the fans down emotionally.

It Is an Emotional Message, Yet Unclear

After the death of Paul Walker, his character was completed by his brothers and stand-ins, but Vin’s ambiguous statement hints that Paul’s character Brian O’Conner must be reprised. However, the creators may need to leverage technology or use body doubles to bring back the character in the franchise.

The first Fast and Furious film, released in 2001, gained popularity for its plot twists, high-speed street car racing, rejuvenating background scores, and memorable characters—all of which laid the foundation for the franchise’s growth and success. However, fans are eagerly waiting for the film’s finale to be released.
