Starring award-winning actors, “Thama” is a movie set to release on Diwali in 2025 as part of Maddock Film’s ‘horror-comedy’ franchise nicknamed ‘Stree-Verse’ or ‘Ghost Verse’. Following in the footsteps of Bhediya, Munjya, alongside its sequels, “Thama,” is set to deliver a new twisted dose of gore bound to bring forth a whole new experience to the audience.

A love story with a vampire fad in the Street Verse

Set as the first true tale of romance in the Stree-Verse, “Thama” comes with a lot of blood transfusions. Ayushmann is assigned to play a vampire role that was first hinted at during the post-credits of Stree 2. In opposition, Rashmika Mandanna will play his love interest. The plot is said to be accompanied by legends Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, where Siddiqui will reclaim the role of a brutal revenge-seeking past antagonist with a lot of fury.

Setting and Plot: Blend of the Past and Present

The narrative explores unreciprocated affection and vengeance alongside the characters dwelling in futuristic places such as New Delhi, paired with flashbacks to the merged ancient city of Vijayanagara, where the vampire myth stems. What Ayushman’s character portrays is that of a historian who recalls the myth.

This is the first time in the franchise that the approach utilizes two timelines concurrently, and it’s interesting how it helps in adding more seriousness to the supernatural happenings.
