Cinematography is one of the pioneer elements in the film when mixed with a suspicious soundtrack, and the main task of which is to tell the same story with modern shooting technologies to attract a new audience and sell toys but in this they showed new things. Another redeeming factor in this movie was how beautiful the movie looked, every scene looked as if it was meticulously painted.

Blade Runner 2049 (2017)

Blade Runner 2049

The Storyline –  A new blade runner, an LAPD officer named K, unravels a long-buried secret that could result in an all-out war between the humans and the replicants. Ordered by his superior to destroy the evidence, K’s journey leads to a confrontation with a long-missing former LAPD blade runner, Rick Deckard.

The Characters – Harrison Ford reprises his role as Deckard and gives a nuanced and show-stealing performance. Ana De Armas proves to be a wonderful addition to the cast, as well as Sylvia Hoeks and Jared Leto.

The Best Part – Once you dig deeper, you find that while Denis Villeneuve manages to blend physical sets and actors with CGI in such a way that feels organic and tangible, the lack of emotional depth in the rest of the story undermines anything else. (Available on – Amazon Prime Video)

IMDb Rating – 8/10

The Tree of Life (2011)

The Storyline—the tree houses and kicking the can, and everything the brothers did together. It was surreal in how it took you back to your younger days. The main boy snuck into his neighbor’s house. His parents fought in the kitchen. His dad was a tyrant as a dad, but he didn’t severely beat his kids or wife, that we know of. He had a temper problem for sure, though. It seemed the movie was about him processing whether his dad was a good dad or a bad dad.

The Characters – Mr. O’Brien (Brad Pitt), A father with authoritarian tendencies, struggling to balance his desire for his sons. Mrs. O’Brien (Jessica Chastain), A mother who seeks to raise her children in a more loving and grace-filled way.

The Best Part – Simple human experiences from childhood to more complex experiences with age, and wondering about the effect of loss and the value of material progress as labeled success. It is truly an out-of-body experience that strives to depict the end of our journey. (Available on Amazon Prime Video)

IMDb Rating – 6.8/10
