This is the best show we have ever watched by a mile. It’s such a fresh new feeling to a show and a plot we have not seen in a movie or show before. It reels you into watching the show and slowly makes you feel attached to every character, even the ones you think you hate. If you like cringeworthy Hallmark movies or romantic dramas, the show checks all the boxes, and they definitely hit all the usual tropes. A coming-of-age frame that doesn’t seem corny or rushed. Something different, and needed on our screen.
The Storyline
It takes place in a small fictional town outside Pittsburgh. The families there have rivalries, secrets, loves and struggles… and they all share a passion for cars. There are a LOT of laughable scenes and just outright bad representations of the car community, and it’s pretty clear the show writers don’t actually know anything about cars, street racing, or really any racing in general.
The Best Part
The opening scene of Motorheads between 2 of the slowest malaise era “muscle” cars is almost laughable. As its central point revolves around the car scene, they could have done much, much better in the selection of vehicles. If you’re a car guy with mechanic knowledge, a lot is not believable and done poorly, but still a decent show and story. Also, don’t like how Caitlyn somehow is a better mechanic than everyone else who’s been working on cars long before her, but she’s better somehow.
Is This Worth Watching?
It reels you into watching the show and slowly makes you feel attached to every character, even the ones you think you hate. It does leave us on a cliffhanger, but it is the best cliffhanger ever and makes me extremely excited for season 2. The romance subplot is meant to be frustrating, with characters who simply refuse to communicate, but it dragged on far too long and became painful to sit through. The storyline itself feels disconnected from reality, and instead of evolving, the characters remain just as dull throughout. Even the attempts at banter come off as awkward rather than charming or funny. If you enjoy overly sappy, drawn-out romances, this might be your thing.

The Characters
Ryan, Teens & Adults, Logans, The relationship between the kids and the adults and how it all intertwined was an absolute cinema. The drama, the romance, the mystery. The acting was great, the kids had great chemistry, with overall engagement with the characters. Instead of playing video games, these kids get out there and build friends and memories, while the past is not far behind.
The Conclusion
If you enjoy overly sappy, drawn-out romances, this might be your thing. It’s a fun show to watch. Great if you like cars, that same car with the whole bunch of performance mods has AutoZone fake stick-on vents. If anyone who likes Fast and the Furious watches this somewhat like you will always want more.
