1. The Notebook (2004)

The Storyline
This movie is the true definition of unconditional love, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is a classic and a must-watch, especially if you love romance movies, as you truly cannot go wrong with this movie.
The Characters
Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling have been perfectly cast together, and their acting is phenomenal.
The Best Part
The part where we will find romance was at the peak of their relationship, as that was so nostalgic, like young, free couples, blinded by love for each other, they were so cute and happy as if nothing could break their love apart.
IMDb Rating – 7.8/10
2. Pride & Prejudice (2005)

The Storyline
It is a stunning adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel, capturing the essence of love, class, and personal growth. Keira Knightley shines as the spirited Elizabeth Bennet, while Matthew Macfadyen delivers a reserved yet deeply emotional Mr. Darcy.
The Characters
Caroline Bingley was very well played, as was Mr Collins and Charlotte Lucas, Matthew McFadyen performed like a star.
The Best Part
The movie never seems to do the story just or convey the correct emotions. The movie cuts corners and leaves out parts of the story that made it coherent, and frankly the masterpiece it feels like to the reader.
IMDb Rating – 7.8/10
3. Titanic (1997)

The Storyline
The Titanic movie tells the story of two lovers from different social classes who find themselves aboard the ill-fated RMS Titanic. Their love story, set against the backdrop of one of history’s most tragic maritime disasters.
The Characters
This movie is full of wonderful casting decisions, such as DiCaprio and Winslet, Billy Zane as Caledon Hockley, Kathy Bates as Molly Brown, and Gloria Stuart as Old Rose.
The Best Part
The love story goes deeper in meaning than any other. In some ways, this movie is also a tribute to the power of memory and means so much more than is seen on the surface. When director James Cameron spent a zillion dollars making this movie about a real-life disaster, he needed a monetary safety net.
IMDb Rating – 7.9/10
4. La La Land (2016)

The Storyline
It shows much more realism, showing that not every love story is meant to be a happily ever after. It shows the struggle that two individuals need to go through when their paths are so separated. Both of them want to achieve their dreams, and to do that, they must leave each other.
The Characters
Justin Hurwitz crafted an incredible score once again, and the performances by Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are incredible actors.
The Best Part
These films are expertly shot, featuring understated acting that stands out in a world of over-the-top blockbusters. The musical scores are exceptional, and the use of colour creates a visually stunning experience reminiscent of a fairytale.
